The
bedrooms are arranged over the first and second floors. Please
note that being a period cottage, the stairs are quite steep, especially
those leading to the second floor. We mention this to help you decide
whether or not the cottage will be suitable for your needs.
Stair gates
are fitted to the top of each flight of stairs for children's safety.
The
beds are made up with fresh pure cotton bed linen, ready for you when
you arrive.
On the first
floor is the spacious master bedroom which has a wrought iron king
size bed and space for a cot. (A travel cot is available at the cottage.)
There is a wardrobe, chest of drawers, two bedside cabinets and a feature
cast iron fireplace.
This room has views over the Purbeck hills and adjacent is a bathroom
and WC with a shower over the bath.
Also
located on the first floor is the first of two twin bedrooms. The
single beds are full size (i.e. 3' wide) and the room also has a built-in
wardrobe, bedside cabinet, chest of drawers and a feature cast iron fireplace.
Adjacent to this room is a shower room with WC.
Going up into
the attic on the left is the double bedroom. This room is full
of character, with sloping ceilings and exposed beams. There is a double
bed (4'6"), two bedside cabinets, built-in wardrobe and a chest of
drawers.
Also
in the attic is the second of the two twin bedrooms. Again,
the beds are full size (3') and the room also has two built-in wardrobes,
built in bedside cabinets and a chest of drawers. This charming room also
has sloping ceilings and exposed beams. This bedroom is approached via
a shower room with WC. (Please note that the shower room is really only
available to those using the twin room, unless the attic floor is occupied
by a family).
